Hearing Any proceeding before a judge or other legal authority, without a jury, in which information is presented to resolve a legal issue.
Hearsay The opposite of an eyewitness account, hearsay information is second hand information told as fact by a presumed eyewitness but not personally witnessed by the individual.
Hit and Run When the operator of a motor vehicle collides with another vehicle, person or item, potentially causing damage but not stopping to give the appropriate self-identification and contact information required by law.
Hold Harmless Hold harmless refers to promise to pay any costs or claims which may result from an agreement, and may be part of settlement agreement.
Holding A holding is any court ruling or decision.
