The United States Fair Labor Standards Act requires that individuals be paid overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. It has come to our attention that the Wal-Mart Corporation has adopted a corporate policy of attempting to circumvent this law. We have come across numerous situations in which Wal-Mart has required employees to change time cards, to clock out and then continue working or actually be locked in a closed store without compensation.
