Reglan
Reglan is a drug developed to increase the contractions of the stomach and small intestine. This aided in the digestion process.
Reglan is also used as a treatment for severe heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux. Typically it has been given to patients for a short period of time when other treatments were not successful.
The side effects that can stem from the use of Reglan is Tardive Dyskinesia, which is characterized by the involuntary movement of the tongue, face, mouth, jaws and throat. You might also see movements to the rest of your body. These movements resemble those of a person with Parkinson’s.
