Americus, GA (November 8, 2019) – The Georgia State Patrol are working on their investigation of a fatal head-on collision on Vienna Road that took place last night around 6:30 p.m.
A Chevrolet was being driven by a 38-year-old man from Americus, who was traveling westbound on the highway at the time. Another man was driving his Equinox and traveling eastbound.
The driver in the Chevrolet suddenly crossed the center line, when he struck the other vehicle head-on. The other driver in the Equinox was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Police claim that charges are pending for the driver in the Chevrolet at this time. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
