Canton, GA – Car Accident in Southbound Lanes of I-575

Lawrenceville, GA – Three Injured after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd.

Lawrenceville, GA (June 7, 2019) – Three people sustained injuries, one of whom was trapped inside the wreckage, during a dangerous multi-vehicle accident along Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, at the Gwinnett Medical Center, on Friday, June 7th.

Based on a report from police and firefighters, a black Nissan Xterra and a white Toyota Sequoia had been traveling down Lawrenceville-Suwanee. At one point, the driver of the Toyota ignored a traffic signal and plowed into the Nissan, as law enforcement officials have speculated.

Following the crash, the Nissan driver was trapped inside his vehicle and was eventually freed by Gwinnett County firefighters. Meanwhile, the man and woman occupying the Toyota successfully left the wreckage without assistance.

A member of the Lawrenceville Police Department has confirmed the Nissan driver sustained severe injuries in the crash, but he is not in critical condition.

All patients were transported to a hospital, where they were successfully stabilized.
