Macon, GA (December 2, 2019) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigated a rollover accident on I-475 in Macon that injured several people, including a young child.
The accident took place around 12 a.m. this morning. At the time, a 19-year-old woman from Norcross was driving north on the highway when she lost control of her Chevy Suburban. This caused her to strike a guardrail, where her vehicle then rolled over.
Her 20-year-old boyfriend and 5-month-old daughter were also in the vehicle. The child was ejected immediately when the vehicle rolled.
All three were taken to the hospital for injuries. The 5-month-old, as well as the others, have since been listed in stable condition.
The roadway was closed for several hours this morning. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
