Macon, GA (February 14, 2020) – Around 2:20 p.m. this afternoon, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a truck accident with injuries in Macon.
According to police, a tractor-trailer was traveling south on Spring Street in Macon when it suddenly ran a red light and crashed into a Toyota Rav4 around the area of I-16.
The passengers of the Toyota were injured, although the extent of their injuries is not known.
Police gave the driver of the truck a citation for disregarding a traffic control device and driving distracted.
The accident closed down that portion of the road for a period of time. Police continue to investigate.
