Moultrie, GA (December 2, 2019) – Early this morning, police responded to the scene of a truck rollover accident on US-319 in Moultrie that led to injuries.
At the time, a 63-year-old man was driving toward Valdosta in a black Dodge Ram when it was forced off of the road by a semi-truck.
Georgia State Patrol said that the driver of the semi, a 52-year-old man, claimed that he did not see the truck. The driver was charged with following too closely.
The Dodge Ram had a completely crushed top. The semi-truck overturned immediately after colliding with the pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the Colquitt Regional Medical Center and is expected to recover from his injuries.
GSP continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident.
