Abbeville, GA (May 22, 2020) – Around 4 p.m. yesterday, May 21, at least one person was killed in a fatal accident that took place in Abbeville.
According to the Georgia State Patrol and Wilcox County officials, the accident took place when at least two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of GA-129 near Tripp Road.
Paramedics and numerous other responders assisted at the scene of the accident. Deputies confirmed that there were fatalities and injuries as a result of the accident.
The roadway was closed down in the road for a period of time.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
