Albany, GA (April 14, 2019) – Around 1 a.m. yesterday, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street.
Police have since identified the pedestrian as 55-year-old woman, who was walking down S. Jefferson Street when she was suddenly struck by the driver of a green vehicle that fled the scene.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Now, police are searching for the driver who was in the green vehicle that struck her.
The make and model of the car are not known at this time but the investigation continues.
