Rome, GA – Motorcycle Accident Leads to Injuries at US-27 and Dugger Dr

Athens, GA – Motorcycle Crash at Oconee St and Foundry St Intersection

Athens, GA (September 15, 2020) – Around 4:27 p.m. on September 14, a motorcycle crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Athens.

According to the University of Georgia Police Department who was called to the scene of the accident, a motorcycle and a vehicle collided with each other. The crash happened at the intersection of Oconee Street and Foundry Street when the two collided.

The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was the only party injured as a result of the accident. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics. The party received rib injuries but is expected to be okay.

The roadway was closed down in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation is ongoing at this time.
