Athens, GA (November 8, 2019) – Around 10 p.m. yesterday, November 7, police responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident at a local intersection that led to injuries.
Police claim that a pedestrian was headed through the intersection at the time when they were suddenly struck by a vehicle headed through the area of Cedar Street and Lumpkin Street.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident and the driver did not stop at the traffic light or stop sign.
The pedestrian received an ankle injury but is expected to recover.
No further information is known regarding the accident and the investigation continues at this time.
