Atlanta, GA – Injuries Reported in Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-285

Atlanta, GA (October 27, 2020) – Around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, October 27, a serious tractor-trailer crash took place on a highway in Atlanta.

According to DeKalb County officials, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Chamblee Dunwoody Road. Two trucks collided with each other for reasons that are not yet known, causing one of them to catch on fire. The trucks both had extensive front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
