Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in EB Lanes of I-285
Atlanta, GA (June 10, 2021) – At 7 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, June 10, a serious multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Jonesboro Road. Several vehicles allegedly lost control on the highway due to unknown reasons, which caused them to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the collision sustained severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
One lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
