Atlanta, GA (April 14, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a firetruck accident involving another motor vehicle that took place on I-20 and blocked several lanes of traffic.

According to authorities, the accident took place this morning around 7:30 a.m. at the Thornton Road exit. The accident started when two motor vehicles collided on the highway and moved off to the right shoulder.

Cobb County fire stopped to help at the scene. That’s when another driver came passing through the area and rear-ended the firetruck off the side of the road. This caused both the firetruck and the vehicle to catch on fire.

One person was reportedly injured and taken to the hospital with injuries.

Police continue their investigation of the accident.
