Atlanta, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision on GA-403 Near Buffington Rd

Atlanta, GA (October 6, 2020) – Around 10:32 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 6, a two-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Atlanta.

Atlanta officials confirmed that the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Flat Shoals Road. From photographs taken at the scene, it is believed that one vehicle struck an SUV in the rear, pushing it against the guardrail. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been formally identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The accident led to extensive delays in the area for some time until the police were able to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
