Augusta, GA (February 22, 2021) – Around 7:26 a.m. on Monday morning, February 22, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Augusta.
According to Richmond County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Deans Bridge Road and Lumpkin Road. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, which caused them to collide with one another. The vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized due to unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
