Augusta, GA (November 21, 2020) – Injuries were reported in a serious multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 eastbound on Saturday, November 21st, according to a public information officer for the Fulton County Police Department.
Per reports from the scene, the initial two-car accident occurred on the bridge. Because of the first crash, traffic began slowing and a second accident occurred, which involved three vehicles. The two accidents involved five total vehicles, but details about those involved have not been released.
Minor injuries have been reported at this time, though local EMTs were dispatched to the scene of the crash.
Along with Fulton County fire rescue units, paramedics appeared to transport at least one victim to the hospital, but the total number of injuries remains unknown. Updates on the victims’ current conditions have also not been released at this time.
No further details have been reported but officers from the FCPD say that the investigation into the events leading up to the accident continues.
