Augusta, GA (May 22, 2020) – Around 7 a.m. this morning, authorities responded to a car accident that took place on a roadway in Augusta.
The accident, according to police, took place on 3200 Skinner Mill Road between the area of Boy Scout Road and Walton Way Extension and involved at least two vehicles.
Paramedics were present at the scene of the accident assisting one or more victims with their injuries. However, their current conditions are not yet known.
The accident was so severe that it closed down that portion of the road for hours but police reopened the lanes by noon. It also caused many to lose power in the area until 2 p.m.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
