Augusta, GA (October 17, 2020) – Around 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening, October 17, a car accident with injuries took place in Augusta.
For reasons that are not yet known, three motor vehicles collided with each other in the westbound lanes of I-20. The accident took place between exit 1 and 5 and led to severe damages to the vehicles involved.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were present at the scene of the collision. They assisted those with injuries, though the identities of the victims are not yet known. Paramedics confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening in nature.
Because of the severity of the accident, motorists traveling through were asked to avoid the area for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
