Austell, GA (May 23, 2020) – Around 7:38 a.m. this morning, Cobb County officials responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in Austell.
According to police, the accident involved two or more vehicles and took place in the eastbound lanes of GA-402 around the area of Riverside Parkway.
Numerous emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident including fire crews and paramedics. EMS crews assisted those with injuries.
The right lane of traffic was blocked for some time following the collision, which led to extensive delays in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
