Canton, GA (August 14, 2020) – Early this morning, a car accident happened on a highway in Canton that led to injuries.

The accident, which took place around 7:56 a.m. this morning, occurred in the southbound lanes of GA-5 (I-575) around the area of Sixes Road. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles collided with each other for reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles were all badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Numerous emergency responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident. EMS crews assisted those with injuries. It is not known how many were hospitalized as a result of the accident.

The accident happened on the right shoulder but continued to cause delays in the area throughout the morning as police cleared the roadway.
