Canton, GA (February 22, 2021) – Around 8 a.m. on Monday morning, February 22, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Canton.

According to officials, the accident took place in the southbound lanes of I-575 around the area of Sixes Road. Few details have been released but police confirmed that multiple vehicles collided on the roadway, which led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

The left lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time. This led to extensive delays. Police urged those in the area to use Main Street as an alternate route.
