Cartersville, GA (February 22, 2021) – On Monday afternoon, February 22, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Cartersville.
According to Cherokee County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Highway 92. Few details have been released but photographs showed that multiple vehicles collided in the area, including several sedans and one or more tractor-trailers.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. Several victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked for a short period of time as police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
