Chattooga County, GA (June 9, 2019) – Injuries were reported following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Monday, May 27th
According to the report, 76-year old Henry Wheeler had been driving his 2018 Honda CTX700 eastbound along GA-48. At some point, he ended up behind a 2012 Honda CR-V being driven by 35-year old Jennifer Percic, a resident of Greenville, SC. Authorities confirmed Wheeler had been driving too closely behind the car. Once Percic stopped to yield to oncoming traffic, the motorcyclist attempted to avoid her vehicle, but ultimately clipped the Honda.
After the impact, the CTX700 skidded to a halt on northbound GA-48, in the vicinity of GA-337.
Wheeler suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
No details about Percic’s condition have been disclosed.
Our thoughts are with Henry Wheeler and his family, and we wish him a swift recovery.
