Clayton, GA – Two-Vehicle Accident with Injuries on US-23

Clayton, GA (July 31, 2020) – Around 4 p.m. on July 29, a two-vehicle accident with injuries took place on a highway in Clayton.

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the collision took place on US-23 when two vehicles, identified as a Dodge Ram and a Honda Accord, collided with one another. The Honda allegedly struck the rear end of the Dodge as it was attempting to make a turn.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. Rabun County EMS transported one person, who has not yet been identified, to Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the highway for a period of time. Police quickly cleared the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
