Cleveland, GA (February 23, 2020) – Around 12:10 p.m. yesterday, a three-car accident took place at the intersection of GA-11 and Joe Turner Road that led to injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene of the collision where they found three vehicles were headed south on GA-11. They were identified as a Toyota Scion, Kia Sedona, and Toyota Tundra.
The Toyota Tundra suddenly stopped so that it could make a left turn at the intersection and the Kia Sedona made a stop behind it. However, the Toyota Scion was following too closely and unable to stop in time. It struck the Kia, causing it to run into the back of the Tundra.
Four victims, including three juveniles, were transported to the hospital with injuries. One was flown to the hospital by medical helicopter with serious injuries.
At this time, charges are pending. The investigation into the accident continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
