Columbus, GA – Pedestrian Struck & Injured at Veterans Pkwy & Talbotton Rd

Columbus, GA (November 21, 2020) – On Thursday evening, November 19th, a pedestrian was struck and injured in an accident that occurred in the Columbus area.

Per reports from the Columbus Police Department, the pedestrian has sustained serious injuries after being struck near Veterans Parkway and Talbotton Road on Thursday evening.

Police say that the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. At that time, a pedestrian was walking north on Veterans and attempting to cross the road.

Columbus EMTs arrived at the scene of the accident shortly after it occurred and transported the pedestrian to an area medical center, but the pedestrian’s current condition is unclear.

The victim has also not been identified, and officers did not say if the driver involved stayed at the scene of the accident. Officers with the Columbus Police Department did not release further details on the events leading up to the accident.

The investigation into the pedestrian accident continues at this time.
