Covington, GA (May 1, 2019) – Authorities responded to the scene of a fatal workplace accident that took place on Dixie Road when a worker was electrocuted and killed. The accident, according to police, took place in the 1500 block of Dixie Road.
At the time, police said that they only know that the worker was attempting to swap out utility lines in the area. When paramedics and other emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found the man outside his work truck, lying on the ground. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating at this time.
