Decatur, GA (September 10, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. this evening, September 10, a multi-vehicle accident with injuries took place in Decatur.

DeKalb County officials confirmed that the accident took place in the westbound lanes of the East Expressway around the area of Wesley Chapel Road. It is believed that three or more vehicles collided with one another, leading to extensive damages to the vehicles involved. Debris was seen scattered all over the roadway as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident and assisted those with injuries. EMS crews confirmed that one or more victims were taken to area hospitals.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
