Decatur, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-20

Decatur, GA (February 22, 2021) – Around 5:29 a.m. on the morning of Monday, February 22, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Decatur.

According to police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Wesley Chapel Road. Few details have been released but police confirmed that the accident involved several vehicles. One vehicle lost control and slammed into others, leading to a chain-reaction crash. The accident led to damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
