Decatur, GA – Two-Car Accident in WB Lanes of I-20

Decatur, GA (September 29, 2020) – Around 1:28 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, a two-car accident occurred in Decatur.

DeKalb County officials confirmed that the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Candler Road. It is believed that one struck the other vehicle from the back, causing a variety of damages.

Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, assisted at the scene of the collision. They helped one or more with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known.

The HOV lane was blocked for an extended period of time following the accident.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.

Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
