Decatur, GA (May 14, 2019) – In DeKalb County, a two-car accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-285 that led to serious damages to the vehicles involved, as well as injuries. The accident took place in the area of Flat Shoals Road, which is close to the Sonic Drive-in and Wells Fargo Bank in the area. The accident blocked two left lanes, causing major delays in the area.
Police are not sure what caused the collision to occur, but a pickup truck and a van were completely turned in different directions following the collision and there were damages to both vehicles.
At this time, police have not confirmed if any other vehicles were involved. A tow truck was called to the scene. Emergency services arrived to assist those who obtained injuries in the crash. It remains under investigation at this time.
