DeKalb County, GA – Teen Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Covington & S Indian Creek Dr

DeKalb County, GA (November 21, 2020) – Officers are still looking for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on Saturday morning in the DeKalb County area.

The victim has been identified as a 16-year-old male. Around 3:00 a.m. in the early morning hours on Saturday, police said they were investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Covington Highway near South Indian Creek Drive in Decatur.

Police said that the victim didn’t have any identification on him but was riding his bike when hit by the car. Prior to the teenager being identified, family and friends searched the nearby area for him.

Police haven’t announced any other injuries connected to this accident and did not released a description of the vehicle involved in the crash.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues into the accident continues.
