E Ellijay, GA – Rollover Crash with Injuries on River St

East Ellijay, GA (August 1, 2020) – Around 7:30 p.m. this evening, a rollover crash with injuries took place in East Ellijay that led to injuries.

According to Gilmer County authorities, the accident took place on River Street in East Ellijay around the area of Garland Lumber. Two or more vehicles were involved in a collision for unknown reasons, causing one of the vehicles to roll over as a result. The damages to the vehicles was incredibly severe.

Numerous emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene including paramedics, fire crews, and law enforcement officials. EMS crews assisted those with injuries, though it is not known how many were hospitalized as a result.

The scene was quickly cleared by police but, until then, there were delays in the area.

No further details have been released but the investigation is ongoing.
