Gainesville, GA (August 1, 2020) – One person was killed and numerous others were injured in a fatal accident in Gainesville.
The accident, according to the Georgia State Patrol, took place this afternoon on Candler Road in Hall County. A Ford Focus was traveling northbound when it suddenly crossed the center line, striking a pickup truck head-on.
One person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Another person suffered from minor injuries while a passenger suffered serious injuries. Two children were also flown to the hospital by medical helicopter due to serious injuries. None of their identities have been released.
No charges have been filed at this time. Police continue their investigation into the accident.
