Gainesville, GA (February 22, 2021) – On Sunday, February 21, a serious car accident with injuries took place on a roadway in Gainesville that injured two children.
According to Hall County officials, the accident took place at 4100 Pine Vale Road around noon. Two or more vehicles allegedly collided in the area due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A 28-year-old woman driving one of the vehicles was badly injured. Her 8-month-old female child was taken with her by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. A 6-month-old male child in the same vehicle was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries as well.
The roadway was blocked for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
