Griffin, GA (August 25, 2020) – According to the Georgia State Patrol, a woman was injured in a car crash at an intersection in Griffin.
Police confirmed that the collision happened at the intersection of Highway 16 and Rehoboth Road. A 45-year-old woman from Griffin was traveling east on Highway 16 while a 49-year-old Griffin woman was driving her Chevrolet C1500 was turning left at the intersection.
The first vehicle struck the Chevrolet when it went through the intersection. The vehicle was struck on the driver’s side, while it rolled over immediately.
A passenger in the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital by paramedics for her injuries. Her condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked for a period of time following the collision.
No further details have been provided. The investigation continues at this time.
