Lawrenceville, GA (February 23, 2021) – At 5:39 a.m. on Tuesday morning, February 23, a car accident took place at an intersection in Lawrenceville.

According to the Gwinnett Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Oakland Road and Old Norcross Road. The accident allegedly involved two vehicles, which collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been released.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for some time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
