Macon, GA (September 4, 2019) – This evening around 5 p.m., police responded to the scene of a car accident on Bethel Church Road that left a child in critical condition.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office stated that the accident left a man from Macon in the hospital and the infant continues to recover but is in the ICU at the Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
The crash took place when a 20-year-old man was driving on Bethel Church when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle, which sent him flying into several trees. The car was badly damaged due to the accident.
Deputies were urged to avoid the area while police took a closer look at the scene. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
