Madison, GA (May 16, 2019) – Police confirmed that multiple injuries were reported in a car crash at the intersection of Bethany Road and the Madison Bypass. According to police, the accident occurred when three vehicles collided at the intersection last Friday. This was the third major accident in that area in just less than a month.
Though no life-threatening injuries were reported, one person received a variety of injuries and was transported to the hospital. Vehicles were also severely damaged at the scene.
The Georgia State Patrol said that a 20-year-old was headed southbound at the time, trying to make a left-hand turn onto Bethany Road. He came across the Bypass and was struck by two oncoming vehicles, one driven by a man and one driven by a woman. Police said that he must have made his turn at the last minute and did not see the oncoming vehicles.
As of now, police continue to investigate and local government is aimed at correcting the issues at the intersection.
Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are extended to the victim in this accident.
