Oakwood, GA (November 27, 2020) – On Wednesday night, November 25, a teen was killed in a fatal collision in Oakwood.
According to police, the accident took place on Thanksgiving Day on McEver Road. A 28-year-old man was allegedly driving his Toyota Corolla headed northbound when he suddenly crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.
Georgia State Patrol officials reported that a 19-year-old woman was driving the other vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe trauma. The 28-year-old driver and his passenger were both injured and hospitalized.
Police have since confirmed that the 28-year-old driver was charged for his role in the accident, though his charges have not yet been released.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
