Palmetto, GA (February 23, 2020) – Around 9 p.m. on Saturday night, February 22, one person was killed in a fatal fire in a cabin on Shell Road in Palmetto.
A 77-year-old man died in the fire when the blaze suddenly overtook his cabin for reasons that are not yet known.
The man’s brother, who lives on the property as well, raced over to the cabin to try and save him. However, he was unsuccessful in doing so.
The investigation into the fire is currently ongoing.
