Resaca, GA (January 20, 2021) – Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, January 19, a pedestrian accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Resaca.
According to police, the accident happened on McEntire Road when a pedestrian was walking in the area. They were suddenly struck by a vehicle that remained at the scene of the collision. Police are not sure why the pedestrian was struck.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. The pedestrian was the only person injured in the accident and was hospitalized. Their current condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
