Savannah, GA (January 20, 2021) – On Tuesday evening, January 19, one person was injured in a house fire that took place in Savannah.
Fire crews were immediately called to the scene after a home caught on fire on West 38th Street. It is believed that the fire started in the kitchen of the home and quickly spread until fire crews were able to put it out.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident. One individual received second-degree burns as a result of the blaze. They were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, though their condition is not yet known.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire but it caused smoke and fire damage to the home. Three people were displaced as a result.
The investigation into the incident continues at this time.
