Savannah, GA (September 14, 2020) – Around 12:40 a.m. this morning, September 14, a pedestrian hit-and-run crash took place in Savannah.
Savannah Police responded to the scene of the collision, where they found that an adult woman was struck by a vehicle at the Marathon Gas Station at 1800 Montgomery Street. The driver who struck the pedestrian fled the scene of the accident.
The female pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition is not yet known.
Officials searched for the vehicle responsible and they were able to locate it a short while away from the accident scene. The suspect was identified as a 22-year-old woman who was arrested on charges of felony hit-and-run and serious injury by motor vehicle.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
