Savannah, GA (January 20, 2021) – Around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, January 19, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Savannah.
According to officials, the accident took place at 4300 Ogeechee Road around the area of the Chatham Parkway. A 57-year-old woman was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that remained at the scene.
The woman was the only person who was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. She was tragically pronounced dead while there.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
