Sharpsburg, GA (February 23, 2020) – Police confirmed one person was killed and one was airlifted with injuries following a fatal collision on GA-16.
Police confirmed that the collision took place last night, February 22 on GA-16 near the area of Clearwater Road in Sharpsburg.
The crash took place when a 30-year-old man was driving his Nissan Versa and his vehicle collided head-on with a Nissan Altima for reasons that are still under investigation.
The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that the 30-year-old died at the scene of the accident while the driver of the Altima was flown to the Atlanta Medical Center. Her condition is not currently known.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
