Smyrna, GA (March 1, 2021) – Around 12 p.m. on Monday afternoon, March 1, a car accident took place at an intersection in Smyrna.
Cobb County officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Atlanta Road and Cumberland Parkway. It is believed that two or more vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. One or more victims were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to avoid the intersection until they cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
