Stone Mountain, GA (May 22, 2020) – Early this morning, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Stone Mountain.
Though few details have been released, the collision took place around 5:45 a.m. at the intersection of South Hairston Road and Mercer Road when two vehicles collided with each other for unknown reasons.
Numerous emergency responders including the DeKalb County Police Department, fire crews, and paramedics were all called to the scene of the accident. Injuries were reported and at least one or more victims were hospitalized.
Lanes of traffic were blocked due to the collision, leading to delays in the area for a period of time.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
